Day 472 of the apocalypse:
I'm still alive, but sadly I cannot say the same for my fellow fallen comrades, of those who are slowly perishing day by day, with everyone else succumbing to hunger. I, the sole survival and last of the guardians, will stand to the very end safeguarding the survival of the nation's priceless royal icecream cake...
lol no.

Hey guys. I guess its been a while, and I can clearly see that it has been almost 3 years since I last written up in this blog. Yeah, my apologies. I did intend to leave my blogging to rot into non-existance for all I cared. I was bad at writing, yes, that I noticed. Have you ever found an essay you wrote about few years back when you were in primary school, and just sit to yourself thinking: "Dafuq was in my mind when I wrote this?" Yeah. Nostalgia with a tinge of humiliation.

And so begins the new year of 2013. Of course we survived the 2012 apocalypse. It was a miracle, as looking upon the fissures of the earth, and the spirits of fire showering meteors upon the overworld, I believed it as the last sight my eyes will set upon - I closed my eyes. As I reopened my eyes, I faced the most horrifying scene yet...

Sorry.
Slight ADHD.
Moving on, the 2012 apocalypse movie has now been rated Comedy as the 21st of December 2012 went by like nothing, except for the massive spam of Facebook posts regarding 2012 apocalypse, and of course - the 1 billionth hit of the top grossing MV "Gangnam Style", otherwise it was just another swift bright sunny day. It did pour a little in the evening though. So congratulations to those who were hiding underground and in bomb shelters, you live another day to look like an idiot. :3

And in this bright new year I stepped forth into Form 4, where everyone 3 months ago was in a state of depression and having emotional and dramatic moments of having to part with one another at the end of Form 3. I actually regret having not been able to live my Form 3 life to the fullest when it was still about a year of joy and taking things slow. Of course, time does not stop for you, and so moving onto Form 4, which is said to be "honeymoon year". I beg to differ. I have seen and experienced firsteyehand how difficult Form 4 is, and believe me when I state that Form 4 is not honeymoon year. In fact, it is quite the opposite of the supposed honeymoon year. Form 4 itself is a year of hardship and a year of adaptation. It is the stepping stones of preparation into the Form 5 year. In addition, having joined the Leo Club of my school has already put another stack of weights onto my shoulders as the number of duties and work in the Leo Club is on a par with the Form 4 pure science stream subjects, which includes but not limited to - Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Additional Mathematics, which in total is - too damn high. I am not proud to say that I am already struggling with the first few hours of Physics. I love the Leo Club, don't get me wrong. Through the Leo Club community I got to establish new ties, which I surprisingly did with many of the schools from the Subang society. I rarely got to know people who live anywhere close me as all friends I have are scattered everywhere. But the workload that the Leo Club puts on you is honestly uncomfortable and really pushes you to your limits. My perspective of this will change through the year anyhow. This, however, is only the beginning, as it is unconfirmed whether I may or may not be selected as a probationary prefect / member of the environment / eco club which may need me to shoulder extra loads in my Form 4 year, and so an unpredictable year this will be. My mental capacity can only hold so much, and I can't say for sure how far it will bring me. I can only pray for the best and hope for the rest.

Ranting more about this year, students of WMS should probably take a look at their diary calendar and note that the time meant for preparation of the school concert, sports day etc. have been not only shortened down drastically, but also moved to much earlier times than what it normally would be. (*Slight note: This year will be the first time I will not celebrate my Birthday on a holiday, but instead the start of our first term examinations. Boohoo.) Not to mention that after my first year in this school as Form 1, the school events have dropped dramatically with the removal of fun occasions such as the U.N. Day (This is when classes are each given a country to represent through the setting of games, food sales and activities, and students will have to dress themselves in a certain country's traditional costume or outfit. This event takes place throughout the entire school and you can see the many different countries/cultures/civilizations through the eyes of another.) and the Evolution Night (A night when clubs and societies each proudly represents their own group in a series of events/activities such as a sketch performance from the Lidra Club, a musical from the Choir, F&B from the domestic science club, mini Counter Strike tournaments from the Computer Club ,and so on and so forth.). I am grateful that I have been able to experience the last of these astounding outside-of-classroom learning experiences while it lasted, but something tells me that the removal of these events will not cease here to be replaced with more academic-based learning periods. Being in Form 4 will also deprive us of our year-end educational trips/class trips planned to draw the curtains on a good year with good friends, and all of that, we have to undoubtedly leave behind to face what's coming at us.

Aaaaanndd... There's my stop.
Gotta go back to creating cheesy messages for fortune cookies.
ERROR 404: Fortune not found.

A repeated quote I've heard over the years: It was never about the destination. It is about the journey. There are many possible routes to take in order to end up at the same destination, but the path you choose is crucial in this life we live in, in order to arrive at our destination with character, righteousness and dignity. This is a race we are all born to run, but we must run in a manner in which we will win, and therefore run like a winner. I probably didn't make sense right there.
